Another Year Has Dawned

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.  (Psalms 65:11)  Our Lord has blessed us with another year.  Are you thankful?  I am.  Tim

Each New Year brings with it new challenges as well as expectations as we seek and hope for the New Year to be better than the last.  However, our expectations for the New Year and the joy each new day we experience rests upon the kindness of God our Father as He blesses each day with His goodness.

His kindness toward us is not simply given that we might enjoy each day but more importantly that we may enjoy and appreciate Him in our lives.

For the devoted child of God each blessed New Year is another opportunity to enjoy of life as we look forward to every new day with Him.

The following poem express more than a simple announcement of another year but the joy experienced in the looking forward to His goodness experienced by all who have a pure and loving relationship with our Father.

Another Year is Dawning,

Dear Father, let it be,

In working or in waiting,

Another Year for Thee.

Another Year of Progress

Another Year of Praise

Another Year of Proving

Thy presence all the days

Another Year of mercies

Of Faithfulness and Grace

Another Year of Gladness

The glory of Thy Face

Another Year of leaning

Upon thy Loving breast

Another Year of trusting

Of quiet, happy rest

Another Year of service

Of witness for Thy love

Another Year of training,

For Holier work above.

Another Year is dawning,

Dear Father let it be

On earth, or else in Heaven,

Another Year with Thee.
